Important Information About the MasterCard SecureCode ServiceThe security of our customers and your financial information is very important to us. We want to let you know about an extra level of security for online shopping that is being implemented by the members of The Network of Preferred Community BanksSM and MasterCard®, effective May 16, 2005. MasterCard SecureCode is a new, free online security service to help guard against unauthorized use of your card on the Internet. As a holder of our AllTime Banker SM ATM/Debit card, this will affect you when you are shopping online with certain participating Merchants. The SecureCode will verify your identity when you use your debit card for online purchases at participating Merchants. You first need to activate the service by creating a SecureCode password. Once your card is activated, you'll be asked to enter your SecureCode password each time you initiate an online purchase at a participating Merchant. How to Enroll and Select Your SecureCodeYou can enroll on the Bank's website. Click on MasterCard SecureCode Enroll Now and follow the instructions. You also can enroll at the time you are shopping online. The Activation Page for Enrollment will appear as you are completing your purchase and you can follow the instructions to enroll at that time. Information You Will Need to Enroll:
The enrollment page will ask you to enter information to validate your identity. This page will be displayed when you are shopping, but you have not yet activated your SecureCode password. You will need to enter the requested information and select Activate Now. If you do not have the requested information at hand or you are unsure about what is being asked, please go to our website and click on MasterCard SecureCode for more information. To complete your account activation, create a secure password. Once you have done this, this password will be used for subsequent online purchases at participating merchants. The SecureCode password must be at least six characters and must be alpha/numeric. Please Note: If you are not able to complete the enrollment due to an error or you do not complete the criteria correctly, please wait for 24 hours and then try to enroll again. If you are still having a problem, please contact the Bank's SecureCode Service Center at the number shown below. Common Questions and Answers:What made this page appear while I was shopping online? You're shopping at a Merchant that participates in the MasterCard SecureCode program. Do I have to use it at all Internet sites? No. You only will be presented with a MasterCard SecureCode page when shopping at participating online merchants. For more information on participating Merchants, click here. Every time I shop at my favorite website, the Merchant presents a page asking me for personal information. I called them and they told me to call you. Why are you asking me all of this personal information? Your AllTime Banker ATM/Debit card has not yet been activated for MasterCard SecureCode -- a free service offered by our Bank. MasterCard SecureCode protects your debit card against unauthorized use on the Internet. We are asking you for this information to verify your identity and activate your SecureCode password. When you use this SecureCode password at the Merchant, the Merchant does not have access to any of the personal information you are submitting. That information is shared only between you and the Bank in a separate, secure session. Once the Bank verifies your identity and your SecureCode password is activated, you will need to use your SecureCode password whenever you shop online with your debit card at participating Merchants. If you don't want to activate your account while you are shopping, you can go to our website at any time and enroll there. How does the Merchant know that I've been activated for my SecureCode? And how do they know my SecureCode Password? When you use your debit card at any participating Merchant, your debit card is recognized as activated for the SecureCode service. The Merchant doesn't know your personal information or SecureCode password, that is only shared with the Bank. What if I enter my password incorrectly? You have 3 chances to correctly enter your password. After that, the transaction will terminate at that point and you will need to contact the Bank's SecureCode Service Center at the number shown on this brochure and they can assist you with resetting your SecureCode/Password. I forgot my SecureCode/Password. What do I do now? Contact the Bank's SecureCode Service Center and they can assist you with resetting your SecureCode Password. I can't use my card at my favorite website. Every time I put in my card number, the Merchant gives me a message asking me for personal information that I don't want to provide. What can I do? The Bank is participating in the MasterCard SecureCode program and is asking you for that information to verify your identity. You can activate your account while shopping, or go to the Bank's website to do so. When I was shopping, I was asked for personal information. I put in the correct information and I saw a Failed page. I called the Merchant and they told me to call you. Why? The Bank is participating in MasterCard SecureCode and asked you for that information to verify your identity, but the authentication process failed. Please contact the Bank's SecureCode Service Center for assistance. I saw a page saying Authentication Failed. I know I have not hit my credit limit. What does this mean? It means that the Bank was not able to successfully verify your identity. Perhaps the personal information you entered was incorrect. Please contact the Bank's SecureCode Service Center for assistance. I was prompted for my email address. How is it used? Your email address will be used to let you know that you've been activated in MasterCard SecureCode, but it is not used for authentication. The Bank may use your email address for future communications about your participation in the service. I used my SecureCode Password and completed the transaction, but you still declined my card. Why? While you did authenticate yourself through the SecureCode service, the transaction still needs to be authorized to ensure that your account is in good standing and can be used for this purchase. Please contact the Bank's SecureCode Service Center for assistance. What if I don't want to use MasterCard SecureCode? All clients are encouraged to enroll in SecureCode. If fraudulent activity occurs while shopping online with your card, you will not be protected. Please contact the Bank's SecureCode Service Center for more information. I activated my card for MasterCard SecureCode, but when the pop-up window appeared, there was an error message (or the window was empty). Why? Please contact the Bank's SecureCode Service Center for assistance. My MasterCard SecureCode account information has changed. How do I update it? Please contact the Bank's SecureCode Service Center for assistance.
